Title: ticking/clicking noise when reversing
Post by: cooki on 04 September 2013, 08:45
Ive searched this and a thread comes up asking the question but no answers.
Anybody got any ideas what it could be.sounds like its coming from the front end.still does it when clutch is dipped.nothing in the way of the wheels and no stones in the tyres as ive checked.

I get something similar, does it sound like a slight deisel knock sound? But only happens when reversing and only at low speed?

Is it when the wheels are straight or when you have a cut on? Is there grease in the joints?

Its when wheels are straight and I had a listen this morning and it doesnt do it whilst free roaling it only does it in gear and from what I can hear its only when clutch is dipped I think.
Guessing its the clutch

Anybody else had sighns of clutch going but only in reverse? Defo only makes the noise when in reverse and when th clutch is dipped an just rolling backwards.
Could it possible be a brake pad catchin on the disc tho an can only hear it when clutch is dipped????
