Title: Mk3 ibiza cupra brakes same as g60s??
Post by: MK7 Rob on 02 September 2013, 20:13
As the g60 brake setup are getting harder to source, can the mk3 ibiza cupra 1.8t (2000) front hubs, calipers etc be used on a mk2 golf as they are 280mm and 4 x 100? Also are they the same calipers and carriers used on the g60 setup? Cheers

I have just cross referenced the part no's and it would appear the mk3 ibiza cupra shares the same hub carrier as a mk2 golf (256/280mm with abs) hub carrier.
The calipers and carriers also cross over to mk2 golf 256/280mm part no's.
So you can indeed fit a complete ibiza cupra front hub/carrier/caliper to a mk2 with no issue.

Cheers, I'll let my mate know. His chance of getting some g60 brakes at a reasonable price is more realistic now as the choice of vehicles they can be obtained from has now grown.
