Post by: JJH on 30 August 2013, 23:33
I ain't used to waiting for nothing.

If I could walk and. Collect one tomorrow I'd buy.

Sure I'll feel different in the morning though.

One of the best looking Mercs around. Shame I can run faster than the two available models on sale!

My friend works for Merc (I used to) and says he has lost a few a class and cla deals to Golf GTD. he was puzzled so we compared PCP figures and residual value is about 4 grand higher on new GTD.

I agree though, lovely car!

It does look nice in that brochure - but as Matchboy illudes to why the hell are they launching with only two engines. Crazy.

Seats really do look smart. Makes me wish the GTI had an integrated headrest style similar to pervious editions. Trick missed me thinks.

It does look really smart in the flesh. So a black one the other day and it certainly caught my attention. Very nice

The GTD on a company car lease is ridiculously cheap eg. Lex Autolease, compared to most cars out there. The Merc isn't! Different types of car though. But the GTD is a winner all round, and that's been noticed by lease companies. I think you can get the GTD for over £150 less a month (before VAT) compared to the CLA as a cost to a company (don't quote me, just going off my poor memory!)

I've not seen one in the flesh yet, looks brilliant in the pics though. I think once they start releasing 250 & 350 versions it will be a contender!
