 hi all...
As stated in my previous posts, my mk4 needs a whole new exhaust system, from the manifold back...I'm going S/S naturally, but unsure on to have the back pipe hidden under the bumper, as it is now...or to have them cut the bumper and have a tail pipe on show, if i was to go this option, I'm unsure on what looks good, and what looks total poo!
I'll be using these guys in Bridport
http://www.topgear.co.uk/top-gear-bridport-longlife
They have a top reputation down this way, and I've had some exhaust work done before albeit on a Ford Probe..
So...get pics of your tail pipes up..give me some inspiration
Thanks
Warren

I like the hidden milly look, is it res or non res?
-
What's res or non res mate?
-
Resonated or non resonated..
-
Twas a res to start with then removed the resonator.
-
I'm still none the wiser...what's resonator?
-
Q. What is a resonator and what's the difference between a resonated and non-resonated exhaust system?
A. A resonator is a chamber in the exhaust system that contains a specific volume of air which is designed to cancel out certain frequencies of sound (made by the engine) - making the exhaust noise quieter.
Therefore, a non-resonated exhaust system will give you extra performance and a louder exhaust note and the resonated system will give you extra performance without increasing the exhaust noise much.

The resonated Milltek just contains an extra silencer.

Ahh, that explains that, I'm not that fussed about extra noise really, bit more of a throaty note, but nowt too loud... I am 30 ya know lol

I'm running a 3" downpipe with non-res Milltek cat-back and it's extremely quiet unless you're booting it, even then it isn't extremely loud.
