So past month I have the money waiting for a gti in black, or gunmetal grey and there's barley any, loads of dsg's. Where are they hiding
-
how far you looked
-
As Barry said look further or why not go for a DSG
-
Only one I have seen is 6 hours away, not tried the dsg but think I would prefer manual

Worth remembering that at that age and mileage the cam belt will be due if it has not already been replaced.
-
im shocked. ur right! i thought there was plenty about especially for the money u want to spend, maybe people are waiting a bit longer so they can get the new plate.
DSG's cool and everything but very much a novelty. im still not sure if i would have prefered a manual. dsg is very good though. would let u test mine but u live in aldershot, u'll probably stab me :P

Only live in aldershot wasn't born here  seen one on eBay 04 reg 81000 full serv history/ belt done only thing is I've gotta wait for auction to end as he won't let it go early

Shame I'm not selling for a while. Mines just ticked over 80k and is an 05 GTI in Black.
I just did a search from SE25 and this car is only 20 miles away (cant be that far from you?).
Its £500 over you budget but you might be able to knock him down / find a bit more.
