Title: Central Locking

hi

i have a central locking question. my dads H reg 5 doors central locking doesnt work.  when you turn the key in the drivers door, the pumps activates and runs for about 2 mins but nothing unlocks. i read an earlier post that said to listen out to indetify a possible air leak but cant hear any leak.  whats the best way of identifying this apart from listening?  do we need to buy a new system or anything?  thanks

1st check the hoses and make sure they're all connected.  also check the door solenoid is working. if not is there power going to it?

how do i check if the solenoid is working? is there an easy way to test this?
