Hi all
Im Owen, I bought a mk3 Golf GTI last week, only managed to get it on the road yesterday as it no MOT and needed a fair bit of work.
Its my 1st golf and ilready i can see why poeple love them!
Through working on over the past week i have discovered that its been lowered using coilovers, has a gas flowed head with race cam, and what seems could be a limited slip diff !!
Someone has spent ££££s on this thing!
It has a twin upswept exhaust fitted and a huge K&N Cone filter, as you can imagine its quite loud, dont get me wrong i like a good noise but this thing is a bit too much. Does anyone know of anyways to make it slightly quieter? I thought of getting a central silencer fitted as it doesnt have one, only the cat, can anyone tell me if this is possible?
Thanks all

Hey and welcome ,
Get some pics up, centre silencer should work. When you say race cam, how do you know and what make and grind?

Thanks, do you know here i can get a centre silencer?
I took my car to work, to show some mates, and 2 of the Lamborghini engineers had a good look around and listened to the engine and that what they came back with "a gas flowed head with a race cam", it might not have either but thats what ive been told

Check for exhaust fabricators near you, they should be able to help, or buy one and get it welded in place.
