Title: How hard can it be?!
Post by: JWebb on 27 August 2013, 18:26
I'm replacing my bonnet as mine is a little worse for wear how easy is it to take off?

It looks as if it's just two screws on either side that attach to the brackets + the windscreen washers do I need a particular tool to do this? also what about the hydraulic bonnet lift how does this come off?

Thanks,

Jack.

As far as i know its just 2 bolts per side on the bonnet brackets and 1 bolt on the strut. Also id advise you to get someone to hold the bonnet

personaly id have a body shop do it. from what iv heard there quite hard to get sitting straight and proper i.e. gap between the bonnet and wing bigger on one side than the other etc.

If you take your time it's easy with 2 people,Jude leave the bolts just nipped up so you can slide it in the middle to keep your gaps right...it's just trial and error but easy as peas ;)
