I need the paper counterpart of my driving licence as fast as possible.
Is it possible to get a replacement the same day in the DVLA office?
Even if I have to pay the £20 for replacing both parts.
Thanks for any info!

The DVLA office is the best bet, they are more likely to be able to do it right there, instead of sending off for it.
I once had to get a new V5 for a car and they were able to do it and tax the car in half an hour at the DVLA office.
Why do you need it so urgently?

Im doing one of those car driving experiences (Porsche & an R8) on Thurs.
Also want to hire a car on Tues but they say you need both parts to hire a car (which is i understandable)
Any idea if any DVLA offices are open on a Sat? Google'd Brighton's but only mentioned Mon-Fri but I'm sure Ive been to a Leeds one on a Sat before

I presume you've looked up your local office here: https://www.gov.uk/dvla-offices (https://www.gov.uk/dvla-offices)
None of my local offices are open on a Saturday.
I would be checking with the organiser of the driving experience day to see if a) you can just use your photo licence or b) they will allow you to reschedule.
As a side note, all of the DVLA offices are closing down by the end of this year, with everything being done online or in Swansea.

good luck with getting ANYTHING out of ANY DVLA on a weekday let alone a weekend
ALL V5 and driving licences are now generated in Swansea only. :lipsrsealed:
