Now this will sound rather trivial to most of you but I rather like the feature in my Mk5 where in between the two normal sized front cup holders there is an additional circular shape which is the right size to hold a can of red bull in.
All of the interior shots I can see have the sliding panel across that area (my Mk5 doesn't have the arm rest so there is no sliding panel either) but what's underneath.
I've joked to my friends that this would be a deal break - which of course it wouldn't - but I'm just intrigued.
Can anyone take a pic of their Mk7 GTI behind the sliding panel please?

= best thread ever! Even I'm intrigued now!

It may be like the Passat, You press a button and a spring loaded curved arm appears to hold smaller sized cups/cans.

Not a great pic but you can just see that they're the same style as Audi now with the spring loaded grips, might be just big enough at the smallest?

So not quite the same solution but at least my red bull will stay vertical with the adjustable grips :)

;D I would've thought a can of Monster would be more likely??

Good view at 3 minutes in this video, might be a bit big looking at it again?

Yeah but when you don't drink coffee and do a Monday morning 90 mile commute each week it helps as a little pick me up :)
Sugar free of course!

If they did them in small cans I might give that stuff a go, but a beer can sized energy drink is asking for heart trouble if you ask me!
