Not sure on the gaskets as i aint done one lol. However i have changed the waterpump on mine before. its not difficult, but it can be if the 3 bolts that hold the waterpump dont open as they can be seized or if you round them off. If they break then your pretty much screwed, as they bolt through the head.

not even sure if it is my water pump, the systems cooling fine but theres a wierd noise like a rarrr raarr low pitch noise from around the area, any ideas? i know its hard to diagnose from a noise description  lol

loosen the tensioner, which will move the belt away from the waterpump pulley and if it's the waterpump making the noise, it should go away as it's not spinning no more. Tight the tensioner back up, the noise will return as the waterpump is bring used again.
The tenioner is at the top left hand side of engine, it's got a roundhole to it where you will need to find a bolt that will screw in and move it away.

Rocker cover gasket and upper manifold gasket (front of engine by radiator) and maybe a throttle body gasket depending on condition of old gasket is all you will need. Also when you remove the seven bolts from the front of the manifold be careful not to break your dipstick tube when getting to them like I did.

I think there are 2 different types of cam cover gasket on VR6 and i think it depends on what type of cover you have, alloy or plastic. To change water pump you have to jack engine up amd you will have to undo front and rear mounts to do that and use wood under sump to avoid cracking it !.
