Title: Car Cover for interior use
Post by: Carbon VW on 20 August 2013, 19:55
Hi everyone. Was wondering does anyone have any tips on what sort of car cover to use on my new GTI for interior storage. I work abroad for 6 months a year (on a month on month off rota) and will have the car put in my dads garage when I am away. The longest it will be undriven for is 28days max. Garage is fully dry but not heated. Thanks for your help. Any other tips on this type of storage would also be appreciated.  :laugh:ftp://

I bought one for the MINI Cooper I used to own years back, it was handmade by a company in Littlehampton who do them for a variety of cars (all tailored to fit the model not just generic ones) and was much cheaper than the genuine offerings at the time.

Mine was outdoors but fantastic quality.

Seems they have moved to Worthing now - http://www.cover-zone.com/

Edit: they offer free covers for car models they haven't got in their catalogue - get in there first!

Thanks for the replies. These covers are slightly above my budget I think. What do you think about a couple of large100% cotton sheets or am I being silly ?!!!

In all honesty in a clean dry garage I wouldn't bother.
