What shall I do first ?? Would like the miltek with the 35 edition tips as I think it would compliment the the car in terms of sound and looks. Or shall I go for the apr stage1 remap firstly?? Is it wise to remap with the risk of warranty issues?? Although the apr remap can put the ecu back to stock and locked under code if it ever needs to go back to the dealer.

better to add the map last after mechanical upgrades so they can be accounted for, assuming it's a custom map. the milltek exhaust with gt100 tips was one of my first mods. so I'd go with that, an apr induction kit then have the custom map done. should see some impressive gains.

Remap will give you the best bang for buck out of any modification.
If you have a warranty then there is a possibility it could be voided should they find out but they don't always go looking.
You can buy remaps with a port switch so you can flash it back to stock parameters before it gets worked on.

1 : Whether the dealers go looking depends on the reason for the warranty claim.....
2 : Regardless of what any tuner tells you, the dealer can always see if the ECU has been flashed - it has a counter.

A tuner hasn't told me anything. But I do know it isn't always looked into or mentioned...

in terms of K04 cars which the 35 is there is a big difference in feel between a Stage 1 and 2 car, quote my wife today, blimey your car is loud
i suggest you decide what you actually want to do with the car as this will dictate the order you do things, if you add and exhaust and just a catback you will be still at Stage 1
On the flash counter front decent mappers can reset this to what the number is on these engines, on the EA888 in the TSI GTI Bluefin increases the flash counter everytime you use the handset, it does not on the K04 cars due to ECU type, they were economical with the truth on this and Revo pointed out mine was at 7.
APR and Revo stock maps are not the oem one, Bluefin does put your original map on, if you are really worried with APR and Revo their dealers will ref lash the oem file for a nominal charge
don't touch the APR intake on a K04 car you are just wasting your money
when my car was serviced i had it flashed back to standard by Revo (my dealer asked on that occasion to make life easier as mine is the only 35 they deal with), car did not have an intake but they were relaxed about the other hardware as that is at their discretion
if you have warranty worries don't map it
-
Another consideration with Superchips, is that it comes with it's own warranty that will cover any possible shortfall in the manufactures cover regarding claims for components failing that may be said to be caused by the remap.

I have had the oem file re flashed onto ecu as car has gone back to standard for trade in, my local friendly dealer did it FOC too which is a bonus.

What makes your car so loud?? is it the revo intake as I hear they're pretty loud. I was thinking vw racing intake when the time comes. What exhaust is on your car at the moment??
-
Open intake and full Milltek I'd through in upgraded engine mounts

Hi mate what dealership is the car going to? Been after a mk6 for ages and yours looks like the perfect spec for me. May give the dealership a call before it gets put out for sale and jump the gun. Cheers mate
