Title: Drivers door interior light
Post by: cossiemark on 20 August 2013, 17:43
Hi guys right noticed today that my interior light didn't come on when i opened the drivers door. I unlocked my car to get something out of it and while i was getting it out the car relocked its self. At first i thought id pressed the key fob but i hadn't. Anyone know how to fix this as i can't find a push button anywhere on the door or door shut. Any help would be great. Cheers mark

If you have a mk4 it will require a new door lock as convenience ECU is not seeing door open signal so not putting light on and relocking car for security reasons

Almost definitely a new door module needed, I bet your headlight warning buzzer doesn't sound either?

Have a look here for more info, ignore the stuff about the window regulator - it does show you how to change door module:

Yes, obviously it won't affect the headlight warning buzzer but puddle light etc won't work.
