Are the standard Monza rims the same as shadows? The stock rims on GTDs are pony and im going to keep an eye out for having a set of monzas re furbed .Lepsoms the best @ 260 plus vat for refurb? They've done my RS4 wheels and they were good but not perfect.

Monza 2's from the MK5 are not the same as the Monza Shadows on the MK6.

Main difference is the black inserts which make the wheel look sharper.

Hmm maybe,i work 20 mins from Wolfsburg and see heaps of golfs all fekkin day long,like the new ones on the mk7,il tap up a few pals I know who work at vw lol

The Monza 2s look the same to me just black with machined face? ......or some other differences? Im figuring no point paying strong money for near mint 2s if I can pick up some 1s cheap and have lepsoms refurb the face etc

The normal silver finish Monza's are only 17" mate, the shadows from the mk6 are 18's as are the Monza 2's from the mk5 although the open parts on the 2's is grey but black on the shadows if that makes sense?  :smug:

It's possible that people have refurbished Monza 2's to have black inserts if you're looking at used sets for sale.

Ahuh so 18" monzas from a mk5 or 6 should furb up into monza2 shadows? Im learning before buying lol
