Post by: mcgee9t2 on 18 August 2013, 12:52

As far running the car goes, not 100% sure but would probably be ok if  you took it easy. If you pay the Extra £10 you can get the 008 which comes with yellow green and blue springs + spacers, which I think is totally worth it tbh. If you want to get a 007p and are worried about the spring pm your address and I'll post down my green one to you and you can post it back once you get it mapped.

Go to Vw/TPS and buy a 710N diverter valve. £35.
Is is the best valve for the car. I swopped from a 008 as with a green spring it wouldn't close, and yellow it had trouble opening.

Search the web. Much discussion and testing. OE is best.

Rs8 and Porsche 997 twin turbos both use this very same updated valve.

I have been looking at a 007p for my stock AUQ.

After seeing your post and reading up about the 710n...think I am going to go for this and forget about the forge until I am running serious power.

Thanks

You have made the correct choice sir.

Psi has nothing to do with it. As the boost system acts on the side and top of the DV. It will never push open. Its holding it closed!!! It's vacuum that opens the valve, and that does not change after remap/new turbo.

The OE DV has the correct spring for the engines vacuum.
