Title: Winter tyres
Post by: physio on 18 August 2013, 11:25
Hi guys
, I'm due to pick my gti up early October ( build week 37 )
I will be driving into Wales quite often so may need to consider winter tyres  / wheels
Has anyone got any advice on what's good or what to avoid
Thanks for reading this

Howdy Physio,

Not sure about what will work best with the GTI, but last two winters I have been running all season tyres on my S80 and found them great in the winter months, and not so great in the late spring or the few weeks of summer have just had (!).

I will going down the route of a full set of winter tyres on steels wheel for my GTi. I will be getting my car sometime in November/December so I would be interested in what your experiences are as my head office is in the Cardiff area and its had its moments in terms of weather!

For the first time i'm going to get a 2nd set of alloys and put winter tyres on for me Mk7 GTD - Mk6 Bridgestones have been useless in the snow, so will be trying winters this year!
