Madness

I doubt it will ever be fitted to the Golf, the main home for it will be the small Porsche 4x4.
I suspect they will detune it to around 350bhp if and when it reaches production.
-
Now for that engine I would do a conversion!
-
clearly going to be another "W12" exercise.
-
i spy a prop shaft in one of the pictures so it should handle that power no problem... i hope they do something with it, and it better be more than 350bhp or they might as well just use the ttrs/rs3 engine

Why is it badged as a gti not an vr6?

Probably because in Germany a mk3 vr6 is badged as a 'gti' or a 'gti vr6'

It's the Wothersee 2013 GTI concept, like slick said it's another W12 excercise but apparently it actually works properly.

Hmm, MKVII Golf R with that engine would be very nice
0-60 in 3.9 is slow though!
