1 month lead time just for the brochure let alone the car.
Kind of sad it arrived 1 day after I cancelled my order... But says all you need to know about VW presumably getting all their demand planning wrong for this car..

Christmas time then?!

I ordered a GTD brochure and a GTI brochure arrived. :undecided:
If they make the same mistake with the actual car,,,, they can share my monthly fuel bill until a GTD arrives.

Look what the postie just dropped through my door (2 hours later than the post nomally gets here - maybe he's trying to replicate the VW ordering experience ).
A GTI specific brochure (I asked for the GTI/GTD one), a Golf pricelist and a finance map.
-
Think yourself lucky all I got was a letter saying sorry they were all out of stock
-
My GTI brochure is creased to buggery - they couldn't even get that right.
-
Mine dropped through also today. :-)

I picked up a German GTI brochure and price list whilst in Berlin yesterday in their "vanity" store in Unter den Linden - where all VAG brands including Bugatti are represented.
It was pleasing to see "our" cars are much the same price as the Germans pay. They had an Onyx 3 door GTI with fabric trim in there for over €39k. Their prices start at €28675, but I think the spec is less than we get as ACC is an option. As it's all in German I'm finding it a little tricky to read...
The standard spec GTI in Germany also has 17" wheels too, in a style I rather like - I wish we could have that option here, with the appropriate price cut of course too!

My gti brochure arrived today so I have given it a coat of wax and left it in my garage until the real thing arrives ,
-
Mine turned up today too - all bent up. Crap brochure as well.
-
I did laugh at the cover sheet ..
Speech bubble quote
" I love my volkswagen, its just so reliable "

That is probably the best dealership in the world - took plenty of pics of the Veyron when I was there about 6 years ago. All of VAG under one roof, except Audi, getting it's own place just down the road. Are Audi in there now?

Ditto, wondering if there is a GTD brochure?
-
There was a separate GTD brochure and price list in the Berlin showroom!

Letter in the post from VW today, read the first few lines, unfortunately due to demand we are unable to supply your Gti, my brain stopped here and my heart skipped a few beats as i thought it was telling me they cant supply my car, but no they cant supply the brochures..
