Title: vr6 engine removal

hi got my self a vr6 golf engine is knackerd so got another 1 best way to remove it and refit done engine removals before on calibra 16v /v6,s but never on 1 of these any advice

Undo all the bolts that hold it in?  :undecided:
Look at changing the timing chains and tensioners while its out  :wink:

Out the top complete with gearbox, it is a heavy old lump so make sure the lifting gear is up to the job.

As already posted I would look to replace the timing chains and clutch before fitting the replacment lump.
