Title: Small spline vs large spline front wiper mechanism

Hi all, we want to ditch our unreliable single wiper conversion and replace it with a standard system, there's plenty of motors & mechs going on ebay but they are the later large spline ones so far as I can tell. Ours is an 88 model small bumper gti so I guess it would have had the small spline wipers, just want to know if the later large spline mech & motor will fit straight in? I used the search facility but nothing definitive came up on this :undecided:
