Anyone got it yet?
We've got Sky and BT phone + broadband already. Does the Sky box have to be connected to the phone line with the broadband on?
The reason I ask is that we have 2 BT lines. One into the house and the one with the broadband on into my office in the garden. I have a ethernet cable back to the house to a TP Link in the living room that gives me wi-fi in the house. So how does the BT Sport get to the Sky box? Straight from the dish, or does in need a signal from the phone line as well?

Have you claimed your subscription to BT Sports through BT's online portal / Account management ? You had to do this before 1st August, although this might have been to get the free 1 year HD package.
From there you link it to your Sky box using your Sky account number and then gets streamed via the dish, afaik. If you connect your Sky Box to the internet you can use the Catchup section and use iPlayer from the Sky box, pretty handy and saves booting up the xbox/other streaming box/changing HDMI channels / controls etc.

So you don't need to have the sky box connected to the phone line then?

No, but why not connect it to your router to get catchup?

I have Sky+HD, and used to Sky Talk & Broadband, but now have BT Phone & Broadband.
I believe that you had to apply before a deadline for BT Sport HD (1&2) but you can still get these either by applying online with your Sky details or over the phone with BT. You shouldn't need to have your Sky box connected to a phone line, but may need to initially to get it rolling (if so, then you can disconnect thereafter). If you speak to BT (nicely) you may be able to sweet talk them into giving you the HD channels
But guys remember that you need to cancel the free BT Sport HD package in a year's time, else you will be charged approx. £10/month. However, once cancelled and you're still with BT Broadband, you will still get BT Sport 1&2 but non-HD. Set reminders

I have it too, worth noting that the subscription does NOT include multiroom - so you'll only be able to watch the footy downstairs and not in the bedroom for eg. P1ss up and brewery spring to mind.

I have BT broadband and a BT Youview box and have been told I can't get it. And it's £49 to get the box that will have it.
How does that work?!
