Anu ideas as what I can do???? It hasn't been serviced yet and has been stood for a while as ive not used it since buying just done some work on it.
-
try changing oil/spark plugs and air filter.
-
Also get a code reader on it incase anything obvious comes up.
-
give it a good service and take it for a hard drive before the retest worked perfect for my last mot when i failed emissions
-
as said you can also buy some stuff think it goes in the fuel to stop smoke its a short term fix but might help you get a ticket

What Cat is on it?

Your car is looking
-
as above
oil and filter right before the test.
Or move to a country with no emissions testing.:)
-
I'm sure the Ecu temp sensor can cause the engine to run rich if faulty as it can't sense if engine is cold or hot.
-
As above but also buy a new CAT and lambda sensor
