Title: Key/boot question.

I know I've seen similar up here before but i'm struggling to find it again so bear with me.

How easy/costly is it to rewire the boot for key release and change to the three button key fob so that it will work remotely with that, I currently have the two button keys? Also if I do manage to achieve it will my spare key still work or will I be better off getting a set of the three button keys and scrapping both of the keys I currently have.   

It's a Y Reg 2001 2.0GTi

need a boot pop. Passat ccm. and Passat 3 button key. then either scirroco rear tale gate bump stops which is what I have or a beetle boot latch.
