Title: Cambelt and water pump change

When does the cam belt and water need changing ? Mine was last change when my car was on 76,228 (9/6/2010) my car is now on 105,470 miles

VW Suggest every 40,000 miles or four years, which ever comes first.

Personally id get it done if the last belt & pump weren't done when the car was in your possession.. but that's just me - and you know its good for awhile too. I service a car ive just bought even if its just had one  :grin:

It will be fine for the minute, look to get it replaced around 110k

Cheers Wayne I've got my service due in 700 miles ill prob get it changed about 4 weeks after that any idea what it'll cost if I brought the parts
