Hi I've got a mk4 gti turbo. It's got the tt turbo. It's came with a none-resurculating dump valve. I want to replace it with a resurculating as I herd a none-resurculating one will mess up the fuleing?????? But what do a buy it for a tt or a golf ?????

The Forge 007p/008p fits both and is the preferred choice.

^^^ This
Just make sure you have the right coloured spring.

For anyone that cares ive beem running a baileys dump valve on my agu for nearly a month now with no drop in fuel consumption no loss in throttle responce and no engine problems. Infact i think the forge was dumping red hot ait into my intake. If u have a agu running a dump valve will. only make noise not cause problems

You wont get any EML problems with the AGU, on the other hand on the later 1.8t's i.e BAM, AUM, APK ect you will. They have many more sensors and are more sensitive to drops in pressures.

This is the same thing my mate was talking to me about last night. His mate has a vrs with the auq or aum engine? Well he said the recirc valve just dumps hot air back into the intake, so he has stuck a racing one (dont remember the name) he also said he has noticed a difference in performance (better now)
He also said it aint caused any probs and has ran it on a good few vags now and never had a problem.

if he's that bothered about hot air why not get a cold side relocation kit

Aparantly on cars without a MAF a recirc valve is purely for noise and emitions. Tbh i cant feel no difference in power between the forge and atmospheric dv on my car

Whys it called the cold side as its dumping it into the inlet still. I would leave it standard and let the oil cooler (intercooler) sort it out. Also the air its letting out of the dv is what goes through the engine, hows it get hotter coming out of the dv . Sorry had a few beers and can not work out the cold side thin making any difference if you can under stand what im on about. :embarrassed:

Is you agu mapped? I ran forge split r on my mapped agu and i clearly felt slight boost loss due to it. Changed it to a 007p and was ace..when car was standard never noticed the boost loss. Yh it will not throw fault codes but its defo no where as good as a 007p

I had the same question and was sooo confused with all the recirculating and what not. What you may be interested in is a splitter valve, it recirculates half and blows the other half off giving you that nice pssss sound it isn't as loud as the full bov but it's still nice I got one called a stealth splitter valve had no problems and it sounds nice! It also comes with an easy screw on/off adapter to change it to fully recirculating. 221258653406 paste that number into eBay brings it strait up you can also get forge alternatives for a few more squids. Hope this helps

It's called a cold side as the air it's dumping back into the turbo inlet is post intercooler charge air not pre

no standard mines blowing off all the boost and i can say the cars just as quick and responsive. if you go for a drive then try and change your 007 it will be untouchable. it def pumps very hot air into the inlet but on a 150bhp car i dont think changing dv matters too much lol
maby on a highly modded golf a cold side relocation kit might be a better idea
