So was driving along today and the handbrake light started to flicker. It is pretty random, it isn't constantly flickering, just at random points. Any ideas? If nothing else it is distracting.
Cheers

Have a look at the switch under the handbrake cover and see if the wiring is ok

Try and clean the contacts on the switch - can be a pain as it's riveted to the handbrake lever - bit of WD40 and some emery paper - same principle as the door window switch, so very simple technology, just need a bit of time and patience!

Check brake fluid level and condition if pads

The hand brake light also acts as a brake fluid warning light
-
yeah the low brake fluid warning and the handbrake warning are linked in to the same bulb. so could be either.

Great, thanks guys, ill take a look tomorrow.

Brake fluid is on the low side by the looks of it, can I just top it up, or do I have to bleed the whole system? Brakes arnt something I want to get wrong...

Just simply top it up from the resevior. Make sure you use brake fluid which has not been hanging around for too long.
