Has anyone got a flat bottom steering wheel in their car from an audi or any other golf? Was it straight forward or not?
Which wheel do you have and pics please?

Anyone?

would imagine the one from an a4 might fit. however it would have the audi badge etc so would look a bit out of place... cant think of any vw's that have flat bottom steering wheels.
as for the swap, if you find one thats a direct fit it would be the same process as changing any wheel, disconnect battery, turn wheel 90 degrees or what ever it is, screw driver up side to undo the little clip, then think its just a few bolts to move airbag then one through the middle of wheel.... but do a search on google, plenty of info out there on how to remove a mk4 golf steering wheel

New sciroccos and mk5/6 gtis have flat bottom wheels.
-
You may have issues with the airbags
Flat bottoms tend to have dual stage firing systems. The MK4 only has single stage

So forget about it?
What other wheel looks good apart from the anni?

I had the R32 wheel in mine; best wheel ever

I know they look great, but I'll bust a little myth - They don't add any extra BHP.
Go for the R32 one

It is doable to fit a flat bottomed one, it takes a little bit of modifying though:

R32 wheels fetch ridiculous money:

Not bad considering that includes an airbag but you dont need that unless you have a 4 spoke steering wheel
I paid under £200 for a brand new R32 wheel from Germany :smug:
That was about 6 years ago mind
-
yeah you've got to add scene tax to that lol
-
don't like the look of the mk5/6 wheel in the mk4
looks out of place.
