can anyone help me i have a mk 2 golf gti 8v year 1990 its start runs fine for about 10 to 15 seconds the dies i have replaced the the spark plugs ht leads and dizzy cap and rotor arm after it has died it dosent start for a couple of days then does the same thing

hey dave you should post this in mk2 section. but first thing I would do is check for spark and fuel pressure straight after it cuts out. also suspect the coolant temp sender and the distributor hall sender. are you sure you have to leave it as long as a couple of days before it starts again?
