Title: Oil Pressure light!
Post by: markallen on 28 July 2013, 18:35
Ok so, drove to Liverpool and on the way there the STOP oil pressure light came on! Parked up for a couple of hours and set off home, the light has come back on so pulled over at the services (where I am now!) I have had a quick google and people are saying it could be the pick up pipe, engine speed sensor or something else. Going to nurse it home and replace the pick up pipe ASAP then see what happens. Has anyone on here had this issue? Mk4 golf AUM??

NEVER drive your car like this. It will be the pickup pipe blocked , did your engine sound tappey.

It's home now and I am on my way home so going to whip it off and clean it out, then order a new one just to be safe!

With the work involved to replace it, better to wait and fit the new one asap.
