Hello,
I am new to changing car parts and have moderate knowledge/experience.
I have found good used alloys with new tires for a reasonable price which i am thinking of buying.
My car currently has 14 inch wheels (175/80/14 88T) and I want to upgrade them to 18 inch alloys.
I can do the manual changing myself but what else do i have to take into consideration?
What happens to speedo settings, ABS, etc...?
If i had to change the settings, how would this be done or roughly how much would the garage charge?
Thank you all in advance

You need to make sure that the rolling radius of the tyre is the same. Have a look on here for more information:

225/40/18 would be my recommendation :afro:

the ones I am currently looking for are 235 35 19
Do you reckon they'll fit my golf mk4 or are they bit too big?
According to the calculator you used it shows difference of +11mm (within the recommended tolorence)

235/35/19 is way too big for a mk4, 215/35/19's would be needed, however 18" with 225/40/18 is a much better choice.

Are you getting 18" or 19" wheels?
