Title: Diverter Valve +
Post by: Neil gti on 27 July 2013, 07:20
Just come across this, anybody fitted one ?
Looks like a pretty good replacement for the factory guts in the oem valve,

The spiel makes that read well, having mine checked in a few weeks, intrigued as to its condition.

I've replaced 2 split ones in mine now and since fitting the K04 and you can hear a lot of fluttering coming from it, when on and off the throttle at low speeds,
This new valve is suppose to eliminate this, its not a bad sound  but if the new valve works progressively rather than a on/off type operation and be pretty much indestructible its worth a try in my books,

Did you split 2 on normal or stage 1 maps?....or is it when you went to stage 2?

It does look the part, seems a little pricey at £99, well if you get one Neil, be sure to give us all a full review

Mines been at stage 2 from about 6 months old so yes 2 have split since then, it is coming up to 4 years old now tho so I'd say they haven't done bad, they fail even in standard form.
I've dropped them an email this morn enquiring about one so will report back in time

They do look a bit flimsy to control all that boost pressure imo

I think the Rev G DV should hold on standard and stage 1 for 1-5 years. As the rev G version was made from much stronger rubber.

But yeah i can imagine if you are running high stage 2 or K04 then this may help. Looking forward to more info.
