I have a temperate light constantly flashing.
Additionally, my clocks have been interchanged from a VDO unit to have a Motometer Speed (for correct mileage). The blue temp plug on my 8v gti isnt getting anything from a multimeter.
I was having temperature problems before, and the needle never really settled half way. I corrected the coolant level and things stopped. Are these related or has my blue sender just gone?
Oh, and will a 1.3 Blue sender plug work on a 8v GTI?

the blue temp sender is for the ecu not the dash, the black one is the temp sender. the flashing light is the water level warning light, hope this helps

so replacing it wouldnd make a blind bit of difference?
I thought they always went.. What about the multimeter reading?
-
it wont make any difference to the temp gauge, but if its fcuked the car wont run 100%, its worth changing anyway its only a few quid from main stealers

Most probably the level sender in the tank, try bridging the pins on the plug to the sender and see if that stops the flashing. If the temp gauge actually works its unlikely to be the black gauge sender at fault.
Defo buy a new blue ECU sender, cheap and essentiall for digifant engines to run right :)
