Title: Help, got tyre rubbing!!
Post by: jack_maxwell on 24 July 2013, 00:11
Recently got new wheels on my 1.4 mk5 Golf and went with a 9j on the rear and im regretting it since. When I'm fully loaded the tyres rub on the smallest of bumps. Still wanting the car lowered as its on factory suspension. I could imagine  that  stuffer springs might help. The arches come factory rolled and I don't really want to get them pulled in case of damage.

The tyres are 245/35/18

Try and work out where it's catching and go from there.

245/35/18 are way too big on the rear 225/35 and stretched would be loads better.

Do you have a pic of a 225 on a 9j because I'm not wanting a crazy stretch
