Title: Will this climatronic unit just plug into my car?

Ive seen these in mk3's highlines but do they just plug in and replace the 3 knobs in any mk3 with air con? Don't want a repeat of my last purchase a fischer cd holder that doesn't fit properly?

Most definitely not a simple 5minute unit swap,  i've looked into this myself and it's a pretty major job.

Theoretically it will,  just not without the rest of the components.

It will fit but to get it working everything will need changing, major work.

Personally I prefer the manual ac.
Have climatronic in the Passat and its ok but you feel divorced from it and not in control.
(I'm not really a control freak)
