Title: 2002 130 remap advice
Post by: daveob1g60 on 21 July 2013, 18:27
After some advice on remapping .....
I've just fitted the Darkside developments intercooler kit and am waiting on the egr kit. Any other ideas on what to do before the remap?

Also how much should I pay?
Was quoted £250 in gwent vw but seem links on here for £150!!

Want a nice smooth map that's not going to kill the clutch etc

On the way to castle Combe sat it went into limp mode afew times about 80?

Plugged it in and got the over boost code.

Assume this can be mapped out and is due to the uprated intercooler and metal pipe work so no leaks but more boost?

Urm it most likely means you got a sticky turbo.........

No mapping will cure that

Run a forte turbo cleaner through it. Stick it in with half tank of fuel and give a good run, this forte stuff is superb I've seen results for my self  also give the actuator a yank around with a pair of pliers cheaper then a turbo
