I told myself I wouldn't do it,but recently I lowered my 1.8 20v non-turbo by 40mm and have added a set of Audi 17's with 225/45 rubber, and it looks good and handling has obviously improved without losing too much ride comfort. The only thing is,living in Herefordshire close to the Welsh border, they don't seem able to make smooth roads with no pottholes in,so I am experiencing the odd clonk, rattle and sometimes thud.Could this be down to worn bushes?
Also,as I was trying to keep the cost down,I opted for standard VW GTI shocks, was this wise?
Can someone also tell me how I get pictures on to this site?
I've waffled on for long enough now, must go!!!!

it may be your driveshats clunking the anti-roll bar this sometimes happens when you drop it

I've got exactly the same setup as you. It only clunks when I go over a massive pothole. Apart from that, its smooth as.

To get your pics on here, you first need to go to www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com), get yourself an account, upload your photos to there and then copy and paste the link in the img line and hey presto
