Title: Rear Door issue....help!

Hey Guys, I'm having some issues with the rear passenger door on my Mk4 1.9 tdi, basically it failed the MOT because the door won't open, when I unlock the car, the lock thing goes up, it opens from the inside but can't be opened externally :(

Just wondered if anyone has ever had a similar problem and knows how to fix it?
Any reply/help is greatly appreciated,

pull the handle open fully and see if the cable is still attached
