Title: Help- Problems with Oil filter cap removal

Hello

I'm having problems removing the cap for the oil filter on my VW Polo 1.9 TDI Sport 53 reg.

I bought a Laser oil filter cup wrench 76mm today from Halfords but that didn't work. I tried the chain I normally use on my Mk3 Golf GTI but couldn't get it to grip on the plastic.

It looks as if I need to buy an impact socket.

Not sure which size to buy. Halfords only do 34 or 36mm??? When I measured up I got 35mm............ Any ideas which one to go for?

Would there be any wrenches that should work?

hi its a 36mm you need.

Bought a 36mm from Halfords this morning worked a treat!  Cheers.
