Title: hesitating need help :(

hi im new to the vdub world just purchased a 1.8t gti agu, every now and then ill give it some beans it will hold back then take off and some times will die if I come to a stop other then tht shes a gem! any help would be much appreciated.

If you use the search bar you will find lots of threads similar to this. First thing I would do is scan it with vagcom for fault codes.

If you don't have access to it start with cleaning your throttle body and maybe investing in a new DV, it could also be a MAF problem unfortunately there are many parts or things to try that could have these symptoms.

thnks brewey I will clean the throttle body n have a scan on here, she getting cam belt and water pump done on Monday if I cant cure her buy then hopefully they can. Get that sorted n then start upgrading :)

Like I said there are lots of different things it could be but try the big culprits first if you can't scan it.

Definately make sure you have a good healthy car before modding otherwise its going to end up going bang at some point.

Crankshaft sensor mate my AUM did exactly the same next stage was would not start when hot!!! Get it scanned as well as worth while but mine came up with various faults including MAF but there was nothing wrong other than sensor  :smiley:

Thanks for both of your help plugged her in and came up MAF swapped her out for a new one cleaned the throttle body out as was full of crap!! also put a forge dump valve on she is running as she should. cam belt and water pump tomorrow, need some recommendations on witch to move to next.

If you have gave it a good service , 0w 40 oil  :evil: ngk platinum spark plugs ,my agu loves them ,then get r-tech to remap it.  :laugh:
