Title: MK2 16v exhaust
Post by: vwkombi on 18 July 2013, 12:45
I am slowly fixing up my 87 16v mk2 and will be getting a new exhaust system in the next few weeks. Whats a good all round system, nothing too loud but gives a good tone and better flow. At the moment its totally stock.

The stock exhaust really does take some beating if the engine is otherwise standard.

Hi mate, would you be able to do me a favour? Could you take a look under your stock rear silencer and tell me what part numbers are stamped on it? (it should say Typ-nr xxxxxxx).

It would be much appreciated, cheers.

I got a price off vw for a genuine 16valve exhaust couple years back. was about £550 altogether. shocking! think jetex is the way to go.
