Hi,
I need to replace my fronts on my 2011 Gti, they are currently 225/440/18 Bridgestone 050a, original fitment and have managed 14,500 on a VWR chipped car.
Do i stick with the newer type Bridgestone S0001 or change to a different brand ?
Any advice welcome

I can recommend Continental Sport Contact 5p tyres. I've got these on mine and am really impressed with them. Only done 8k miles but haven't missed a beat so far and excellent braking qualities. Mine are 225/35/Z 88y (19" but 18s available). Different aspect ratios available.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 on all corners for me.
It has a rim protector which is handy and has saved me from a kerbed wheel. Other brands may also have this feature too...

Goodyear f1s also, best I've had on so far.

Never heard anything but good comments about goodyear f1's. Got conti's on my golf great all rounders, had dunlops on my first mk6 I didn't rate those atall.

Thanks for the replies....looks like goodyears then

Another vote for the Goodyear Eagle F1's!

Just about to do ours and will be going for the GY's too, good all rounder.

Another vote for the Conti 5s, superb tyre in the wet and dry and quiet.
Wasn't impressed with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 1, haven't tried the 2s yet.
