Title: Golf agu engine got a couple of questions

Hi all.Just wondering if any one can help me.Got in my golf this morning started first time like it always have but there was a loud top end rattle.Did not get any worse or better with any engine tempreture.Took rocker cover off and noticed the cam chain tensioner is rubbing on my rocker cover.Its sounding like a tractor at the moment.What do people think is the problem?

sorted.striped it down to find the bottom plastic guide has broke.time for a new tensioner.mind you it has been on for just over 200,000 miles.

very lucky.new tensioner from gsf fitted and now running better than ever.
