Title: alarm beep

Not long ago I chose to activate the alarm "beep" through vagcom. It all went as planned and beeps when you lock and unlock.
But it sounds sh!t on my car and is not very loud compared to nino's which sounds fine. Mine is a 1999 agu and his is a 2002 aum. Will these extra 3 years difference between our cars make all the difference? Or could my little speaker be knackered?

Does anybody know where the actual speaker is located ?

Mine sounds like my car farts always gets a laugh!!

It's under the scuttle panel (where the windscreen wipers are)

It's all down to the siren it's self to be honest I've got one off a bora and it was much louder than the one off a golf. I'm guessing it just depends what part of the world it was made!
