How easy is it to paint the rear diffuser? Would a body shop charge a lot and also would it have any longevity?
-
Easiest way is get a spare oem one, around £70 and get a local body shop to do it, mine has stood up well after a year
Cost wise your are looking about £125, a decent body shop with use the correct primer
-
Did it look alright even with the textured finish?
-
Yes it does as they plied a decent amount of primer, transforms the rear
-
When I got mine done I didn't like the textured finish so got it flatted back again and redone.
Now its silky smooth with no texture in sight.
-
Mine was smoothed and painted by the main dealer, they had the cars for two days and it cost £150.
-
Done mine gloss black, but added a few fins, i was bored at work
Too much blue peter as a kid methinks

Any pics candy man?
-
Quite fancy doing mine in 3m Carbon wrap but I think it would be a nightmare to do.
-
Mmm didn't think of that

It's been done, but by all accounts, it wasn't easy. Looks good though

I've got a carbon diffuser that I had fitted for about a year, just didnt quite fit properly but a bit of nibbling with a dremmel will sort it for a perfect fit, in the end I removed it and got the standard one painted gloss black,
I got it off a group buy on here, just sat in the garage and will let it go cheap if someone wants it to play around with,
Not the best pic, will clean it up and get some better pics if anyone interested ??

will be very hard to get perfect. I have seen a few do large curvy panel and it ends up looking sh1te.
Im still think Gloss Black will look best.
