Title: running on 3 cylinders, need new coilpack
Post by: mike1990 on 10 July 2013, 15:06
Hello,

Recently my car, golf gti mk4 2001

Was vibrating upon acceleration, was slower then usual and seemed like it was going to stall when I accelerated. Checked the driveshafts, exhaust, and the one thing I knew was wrong before this was the MAF and the oil breather pipe.. Unplugged each coil pack one by one to see if the engine changed RPM, all 3 coilpacks was fine. Got to the 4th one.. No difference, so I need a new coilpack and whilst I'm at it might aswell put new spark plugs in. Does anyone know how I would go about seeing if my car is eligible for the coilpack recall?

Thank you
Mike
