Hi Hope this is the right forum area. Bump into the back of someone at 5 mph entering a roundabout, yep stupid move, looking at the cars on the roundabout, not the one in front. The front left took the impact, seems headlight has been knocked in, it is loose, but still firmly held. The bumper is slightly pushed in. I've added some photos. So the question is, I'm going to take things apart to look at the real damage. What should I be aware of, tools I may need. Any tips or advice?
Thanks

For those of you wishing to attempt the front end conversion as detailed in this thread and more importantly this thread, you will need this guide to remove the bumper and this guide to remove the headlights.
The only tools you require for this bumper removal is a T25 Torx bit.
You can either jack up the car and remove both front wheels or do as i did and just turn the steering to full lock to the left for access to the right arch and full lock to the right for access to the left arch.
Within each arch you need to undo 5 Torx 'screws' 4 of these hold on to the arch liner and the 5th holds in to the metal wing. (10 in total)

now on the floor under the front of the bumper there are another 7 Torx screws to be removed.
so far all screws should be identical.
Lift the bonnet

This caters for the Stripping down and preparation ready for rebuild.
All bolts seem to be 10mm and all torx are either T20, T25 or T30, but hav all your kit to hand.
EVERY PART HAS THE PART NUMBER EMBOSSED ON IT SO MAKE PLENTY OF NOTES AS YOU GO.
The damage is to the drivers corner of the car, visible damage so far is
bumper
headlight
wing
fog light
bumper trim

whilst removing thr drivers side headlight, it became clear that there was more damage than we 1st thought, the part ringed in red is broken and needed removing, it is held on by 2 torx screws in the areas indicated by the tiny red circles. These can be removed without removing the headlights, infact the headlights are easier to remove with out these parts on.

here is the broken part held in situe for clarity.

pull the foam off the cross member, is is only stuck on.
With the headlight and broken part removed, it can be seen that the Carrier Unit is also broken in 3 areas indicated in red circles below
