Does anyone know if you can remotely open and close all the windows using the key fob ? I can do this on my Ford Focus by pressing and holding the unlock or lock buttons. I saw a video about the keyless entry system which said you can close all windows if you need to by holding the dimple on the handle after locking the car, but it didn't say anything about opening or closing for non-keyless cars. Just thinking about it since it is such a beautiful hot day here and it would be good to be able to open remotely to ventilate the car before getting in.

can do this with MKv and MKVI so presume you can with MKVII

Yep, can be done.

Press and hold the unlock button on key fob. The windows will go down until you release the button or they are fully open. The reverse closes them.

Also handy when using a windscreen cover overnight in the winter; close the door whilst pulling the cover tight through the open window, then close windows with keyfob

Yes remote window lock/unlock works but you have to set it to do this in the car menu.

Thanks for the info guys. Sounds good.
As a follow up, and prompted by the windscreen cover suggestion, do the windows feature "anti-trap" so that if they encounter a blockage of e.g. a child's hand while trying to close completely, they then auto reverse some or all of the way ?
I did check this on the ford focus once and it didn't work. It did shatter the CD case I used instead of my son's hand though :embarrassed:

Yes, they do.
