I've just been sent these calipers from a guy claiming they were from the rear of a mk4 Golf - they quite clearly aren't!
Before I open up a can of whoop ass I was wondering what they were actually from?

Mk4 golf
but front calipers from smaller models
-
the big one is mk4 gti.
not sure what the front is. my mate has a 1.4 golf and sure his aren't that small?
-
Well my thoughts were on them been 1.6 front calipers - what a tw@t.
-
I think the 1.4/1.6 might have smaller calipers just didn't thnk that small, unless its a rear caliper off a 1.4/1.6?
-
Where's the handbrake mechanism then?
-
valid point :D
not sure, could be a 1.4/1.6 front.
just thought from looking at them they look smaller than my mates.

yep looks like you were right, 1.4 front caliper. look smaller than I remember :D
-
Either way they're f**king useless to me.
-
Yep mk4 1.4 16v front calipers
-
tried the steelers/tps for them? I got new front calipers for mine a year or so ago for £30 ish each, granted that was on trade so might cost a little more. not sure how much discount is given for trade?

Finding a pair of used mk4 rear calipers isn't an issue tbh, just as long as I'm sent the right frigging ones!
