What proof of business ownership is required to take a Business lease? My wife is a sole trader

VAT registration usually is adequate.

That's Ltd only. Sole trader small business

are you trying to take business lease on something? why not just ask the people you are wanting to lease from what they require...?

If you are not VAT registered then why bother with business contract hire?  The prices quoted per month are usually +VAT that you claim back as a business user to get the lower price.
